The Stepping Stone Preschool is a positive environment and has so much to offer, We are a Montessori Inspired in-home Preschool. We have turned an apartment on our property in to a preschool! At the Stepping Stone Preschool you will find a nurturing, educational environment for children of ages 3 to 5 years. In our 3 year program your child will gain independence and leadership. Our program focuses on cooperation, self control, the ability to care for our environment (indoor/outdoor) practices as well as caring for our self. Manners, control & coordination are experienced in our practical life area. Exploration of language, mathematics, art, music & geometry are developed subconsciously through the sensorial part of our classroom. Your child will learn language development, Early reading & writing, hands on math, geography & culture, botany, zoology, human anatomy, physical science, and science exploration. After each year in our 3 year program your child will have completed a Stepping Stone with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
In the Stepping Stone Preschool we allow the children to do things that they are very capable doing themselves. Example: Preparing their own morning snack. Not only are they capable of slicing bananas, peeling carrots, spreading, slicing eggs, squeezing oranges, and much more they LOVE doing it! The child feels proud that they have created and finished making their OWN snack. After the children are done making their OWN snack they take care of their own environment by dish washing the food making material they have used such as; cutting boards, spreader, bowls etc. The children Love this area of The Stepping Stone Preschool.
