Dear Stepping Stone Families,

Thank you for being interested in what's happening at The Stepping Stone Preschool. 

We have lots of exciting news to share.

Last month was a great month! We are very grateful to be able to share our learning experience with Bridget. Welcome O'Leary Family! In February we learned about our teeth and how to keep them healthy during Dental week. We also celebrated Valentines Day! Through this celebration the children had a blast frosting cookies and adding/eating their toppings. It was messy but good fun! Thank you O'Leary family for providing this fun activity!  

March  

First, We started off the month by jumping right in to our ICPS curriculum. The children are enjoying the words as well as participating in the games. This curriculum is a great way for the children to work together and gain new vocabulary as well as learn and understand the words through concrete exercises! On Thursday, March 31st Cynthia from CAPSLO is going to visit us and play a ICPS game with the children. Cynthia is my guide to this curriculum and she will be chiming in throughout this curriculum to help keep the children enthused with our ICPS education.

In celebration for Dr. Seuss we made Cat in the Hat Hats and read many many stories by him. We LOVE his stories. Thank you Hart family for lending your books.

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day was a blast the children LOVED the excitement of chasing the leprechaun. The children used a lot of team work painting the leprechaun trap! Maybe next year we will catch that sneaky creature! 

Important Dates and Info

SHINE THURSDAYS- Starting Next Week

-----Shine Thursdays is a day each child gets to shine, however they want. If that's by dressing as their favorite person, character, bringing something they love, stuffed animal, picture, art, nature, a cd of their favorite song, book etc. NO TOYS PLEASE! This is a day for your child to express who they are lets be supportive and encourage each personality. 

If you would like your child to participate in "puddle jumping" please bring rain boots, extra shoes, and coat. If your child has too much fun and gets wet don't worry we will put their dry change off clothes on them and send home their wet things.

This week we practiced what we would do if their was a fire or earthquake at school. It was great practice and we will do a refresher next month.
